Ever find yourself stuck for self raising flour and only have plain flour in your baking cupboard?
Well panic no more, it is easy to make yourself and I always keep a tub of baking powder in my cupboard for this very reason!
To make the self raising flour, add 1 tsp of the baking powder to 200g or 8 oz of plain flour and mix. Simple!

Just scale it up if you need more and keep it in a zip lock bag marked with ‘Self Raising Flour’ so you don’t forget!
